Dr. Bork studied chemistry at the University Hannover and graduated with a Diploma (focus on physical chemistry), before obtaining
a Doctorate degree (focus on solid-state NMR and nanostructured materials). Dr. Bork performed research work at the Institution of Physical
Chemistry of the University Karlsruhe (focus on diffusion in condensed matter). His first contact with intellectual property rights came
through working in technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises where he first got into contact with intellectual property rights.
He started his professional career in the field of
Intellectual Property in 2004 in a law firm in Munich before joining Herzog Fiesser & Partner in 2010. His areas of expertise include
preparation of freedom to operate and validity analyses and defense of inventions in chemistry.
