Curriculum Vitae
Dr. Fiesser studied Chemistry at the Johannes-Gutenberg-University in Mainz and at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst,
with a focus on polymer chemistry. He graduated with a diploma in Chemistry and received his Ph.D. from the Max-Planck-Institute for
Polymer Research in Mainz. He began his career in the field of intellectual property in the patent department of Henkel KGaA in
Duesseldorf. In 1996, he joined the law firm Bardehle, Pagenberg, Dost, Frohwitter, Geissler in Munich as a trainee patent
attorney candidate, working in the Munich, Mann-heim and Duesseldorf Offices of the firm. After successfully becoming a German and
an European Patent Attorney, he joined a Duesseldorf based law firm, where he became partner in 2002 opening and developing the Munich
branch of that firm.
In 2010 he co-founded Herzog Fiesser & Partner. Dr. Fiesser works in all fields of patent and trademark law with a focus on
prosecution of patent applications, oppositions, appeals and litigation. He is also specialized in legal opinions, holding a series of
lectures on that topic. Dr. Fiesser is experienced in the management of large trademark portfolios. He is a member of the Examining
Committee for German patent attorneys.
