Curriculum Vitae
Dr. Hakvoort studied chemistry and law at the Universities of Marburg, Münster and Hagen.
He obtained his Doctorate in the biochemical field from the Westfälische Wilhelms Universität
of Münster. Following post doctoral research in the Institute of Neurochemistry at Brown University
in Rhode Island, USA, he moved to the field of intellectual property, joining the team of Dr. Herzog
in the Düsseldorf Office of a patent law firm in 2001.
His main areas of expertise include the protection and defence of inventions in the field of biochemistry,
genetic engineering, pharmacy and polymer chemistry.
