Curriculum Vitae

Anna Hillier studied chemistry and law at the Universities of Sussex, Nantes and Hagen. After working for a large pharmaceutical company, she obtained a doctorate in synthetic inorganic chemistry from University College London. This was followed by postdoctoral research in organic/organometallic synthesis and catalysis in Zurich, Switzerland, New Orleans, USA and Oxford, UK.

In 2003 she moved to the the field of intellectual property training in a patent law firm in Düsseldorf, before joning Herzog Fiesser & Partner in 2010. Her areas of expertise include prosecution, defence and enforcement of inventions in the fields of chemistry, catalysis and materials and pharmaceutical sciences, as well as strategic IP management.
