Curriculum Vitae
Dr. Oltmanns studied biotechnology at the Braunschweig University of Technology where he graduated with a diploma and completed
his doctoral thesis (focusing on gene expression technologies). Two years of post-doctoral work at Purdue University, USA, followed
(focusing on plant transformation technologies). In 2006, he started to work in the field of intellectual property in a law firm in
Heidelberg. He joined the HFP team in Mannheim in 2010.
His areas of expertise include prosecution, defence of inventions as well as freedom to operate analyses in all fields of biotechnology
including life sciences, green biotechnology and diagnostics.
